Hey Alberta Guys!

Still looking for someone with a 7 or 8 priority for Antelope, preferably looking to hunt near Brooks, possibly elsewhere. I have a friend from BC I am hoping get drawn this year. I am a 6, but I do not want him to have to wait another year or two.

I confirmed with F&W that if a non-resident is drawn their tag is not tied to the resident they were drawn with, i.e. they can hunt with any hunter host.

Anyone?
 
I thought our booklets used to show up a week or ten days prior so us fanatics can pour over and still find not much has changed.

There are a bunch of third seasons added for cow Elk, nothing like hunting them untill the 20th of January!

I'm still in a toss up for my muley tag. Bull elk is for sure before they start talking about this lottery stuff more seriously. If Christy cashes in on her NT sheep and cow elk tag we are going to be pretty busy with just that.
Been a long time since `ol Noely chased a mule deer. So much to hunt and so little time!

How much does welfare pay again?

Just did all my draws today. 999ed most everything but Antlerless Elk and Antlered/Antlerless MD.

999'd everything aside from antlered mule deer. This year is going to be spent taking my niece hunting to get her first elk.

Got our draws in, now I can relax. Moose and doe mule for me, Wife will try for her first muley buck and a WT doe.

We shot trap yesterday, rifle the middle of last week. Starting to "ramp up" practicing. Want to be super sharp come season. Have started upgrading (raising) the susp. on the old hunt trailer. Only about 100 days or so and we're hunting!

Shaaa, try calling him right after supper, he's snoozin on the couch and even more grumpy than usual if you call to bug him.:p

Ended up 999ing my Muley as the guide who owes me a favor said he wouldn't be able to give the time to find the right one. With him saying that I am content to wait a year as it will likely put me in front of a cranker.:cool:

My Bride will be getting her NT sheep and her cow elk for certain. Seems she has taken a shining to Nugget's Kimber after using for her doe last fall. Suspect she'll use it for the elk too since she shoots it so well and loves that plastic stock so much.:rolleyes:

Don't pay attention to those little voices in your head Lefty. I don't need your Wife coming after me when you make for the hills with the boys and no planned time to return!:D
I doubt the welfare will pay enough to let ya get tags and fill the gas tank anyway.
