Well, I've been around a little while, but my PAL finally came today, so I guess I'm officially one of "us"! My dad is taking me for a shotgun tonight (was supposed to be a christmas present but my PAL didn't come in time) and I've got a Mosin on the way from P&S, and cantom is selling me an old enfield, and my dad is giving me another enfield I've been fixing up for him (sporterized and in rough shape but it's starting to look nicer) so I guess I'm gonna have a pretty good start! Yeehaw!

Hello there,
I'm new to CGN's (wish I had known about this place years ago)
I am looking for any previously posted info on converting a rifle from one caliber to another.
ei; my Browning BBR from 7mm Rem Mag to say a 340Wby Mag or a 338-378Wby Mag or even the 378Wby Mag it self.
Or even a thread on comparison of the 338's
I don't need two 7mm (even though she's a beaut), the only reason for purchasing the BBR was for the scope attached to it (a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10 X 40 AO) and the action and weight of the gun. I want a 338 or better/bigger in a Browning action and not in the regular Win Mag, otherwise I would have just bought one.
Any pointers in the right direction would be great.
