I’ve been frequenting Reddit and seen some posts talking about this spot and decided to check it out, I’m interested in learning how to use and zero a scope and was recommended to get some advice here. I’m also looking at some firearms and have made a list for a future purchase and thought I’d ask which ones would fit a range plinking and practice rifle/hunting and varmiting rifle as well as scope recommendations.
My list is incomplete but have some rifles that I found interesting myself and aren’t too expensive and would like to see what others think of this list
- CZ 550 .308win
- CZ 600 alpha .223 rem & 7.62x39
- Howa M1500 and Howa 1500 .223 rem & 7.62x39
- Savage Axis II with Iron sights 30-06 springfield
- Savage Scout with irons .223 Remington & 7.62x39
- Savage 110 hog hunter with irons .308 Winchester
- Ruger American Predator .223 Remington

That's a mighty list you have there. I'd say pick one from each maker and branch off towards other brands. Get a feel for other companies. Lots of Savage, Ruger and CZ fanboys out there that love to push people to their products but you never know you might end up being a Tikka, Sako, Mossberg, Remington, Benelli, Weatherby or even a Husqvarna person. What ever comes, I hope the best for your endeavors 🫡
 
Welcome to the community. It’s a great list. Keep researching the ones you have listed and also other brands. Then spend some time in a gun shop and handle them. You’ll be surprised how different they can feel in your hands.
Enjoy the forums, lots of excellent information in them.
