hey guys a right oil for an open gun

How does SlideGlide Lite work in cold temperatures? I had some in my Sig X-5 last fall at around 0C and I could watch the slide try to cycle. Would something like a Trubor fare better in the cold with SlideGlide?

I tried SlideGlide in a fall match and after the first two stages I scrubbed it out and went back to FP10.... To be fair I was also running a recoil master which doesn't have a whole lot of slide driving power but still I'd avoid any grease.

thanks guys

If you can't get any of the specialty products that have been variously described, just try a good quality synthetic motor oil (10W30-ish).

Formula 1 synthetic motor oil 5W/30. Works great and is cheap compared to a lot of gun oils I have bought.

Try Elf brand synthetic racing 2 stroke oil, available in europe and just what you want. It is not cheap but it is the best. Leave the grease and gun butter etc to those who like their guns to malfunction.
