Hello from Cornwall, ON. I'm interested in getting into target shooting. I want to take a safety course ASAP and am interested in hearing from anyone in this area as to what the best place to do that is. I would also appreciate it if any of you experts would take me out to pop off a few rounds to see how I take to it. I'm 22, I might be young but I'm a certified locksmith who has voluntarily surrendered his fingerprints to the local PD... So you can trust me :D

I look forward to hearing from anyone located near here as to what the local scene is like. Thanks for having me, guys!

Don't worry. If you ever decide to get a concealed carry for the US you will have to voluntarily surrender your prints to the FBI as well. ;)

Welcome aboard.

Have to get any trigger loks off guns for the
"I can't find my keys" guys yet ?

A couple times. Its not fun. Those things are tiny. Euro-style picks work well in those little keyways. My boss has drilled them out in the past, which I would personally try to avoid doing. I wouldn't want to slip :runaway:

As far as the FBI getting my prints... Not gonna happen. I have to cross the border multiple times per week to do calls over in Snye... Its Canadian territory but the only way to reach it is to travel through the US... Figure that one out... Anyway, the border isn't fun. I get the third degree every time. I think they deliberately choose the jerks to do that job... :(

Well actually if your prints are anywhere on record, I'm pretty sure one law enforcement authority could get them from the other if necessary.

Now even when you buy a year pass to Sea World in San Diego CA. you have to put your index finger onto a scanner at the gate to verify the entry pass belongs to you. That didn't sit so well with me or my family.

Remember, big brother is watching.

Anyway this is probably better discussed in another forum. Welcome again and have fun here at CGN.

If necessary being the key word :D I wouldn't expect anything less from them, as I make my living getting paid to do things that if any joe citizen tried to do, they would go to jail. (I just have a problem with the US gov't. I love my own country and would do whatever it or its agents asked)

I know I am bumping an old thread...

But why would the HSC be necessary in this area? Just asking, because I live close and want to get my PAL as well...

*edit* Would this be because there are no certified rifle ranges in the area? Apparently the EOHC only allows .22 on their range, and they are the closest (almost 1hour away).
