Hey , I'm starting to love my 858 !

If you're using a typical scoring target for centerfire rifles, the rings are spaced 1" apart. Sounds like you got 10 rounds in 3" at 50 yards. I'll bet you were shooting surplus ammo, right?

Correct you are . Would I do better with a different ammo ? Is that any good ?

I'm totally new to talk about " groups " etc . Out of ten shots I got 3 in the center , 4 in the first ring from center , and 3 in the third ring out . Sorry , don't know the proper terms for that yet lol .

After that I shot 5 super rapid and only got one on the mark , the rest were off the page , lol
I'm no expert marks person that's for sure !

Grouping is usually defined as how large your group is in terms of inches from the center points between your two widest shots

I have an 858 and my shooting buddy has one. His is totaly stock while mine has the fab defence furiture on it and a muzzle brake and there is a huge difference in the amount of recoil between the two guns

In future ill be adding those things too . Just need to clear some cash up .

Probably.

Surplus ammo is made with quantity, not quality, in mind. The QC on surplus ammo is nothing like the QC on hunting ammo. The hunting ammo will have much more consistent powder charges and usually much better bullets.

Very interesting , thank you .

I love mine, but I can't shoot it worth a poop due to the short LOP. (I have long arms :p).
Still love shooting it tho, even if my groups look like a buck shot pattern.
Glad you got your's figured out!

Hey man. I was having the same problem. I'm 6'2" but once I squared my stance it made a huge difference!! Mines folding stock. Changing my stance improved my accuracy too. I was going to try adding a butt pad just for LOP not recoil. Lol. But once I squared my stance up it gave me 2" or so anyway. Loving my cz too. Now I want a compact lol.

This arrangement gives super long LOP. There is no way you'd need more. NEA adaptor, side folder, and stock.

I have a NEA Heavy brake on my CZ and there is almost no recoil, I can shoot it one hand with a folded stock.. :)
