Hey Marlin Lovers

Well. Ive been watching this thread since it started, tellin myself I don't need another Marlin (I have a 444 already), and the only other one I want is a 45-70, but this morning I couldn't stand it any more so I phoned and although they don't have many left I ordered a 35 rem I'll post pics when it arrives...

Rocks I was there when they grabbed a nice one off the shelf for you, spent a little time giving the stock some nice fresh oil before they packed it up for you. FS

Just got the 336T (.35 REM) in the mail today. It is kind of weird to have a new rifle without the X bolt safety. I am not complaining, I love it without the safety. I added a front sight hood I happened to have in stock and it is perfect. Can't wait to get it out and shoot it.

Found this thread late, damn work travel getting in the way of life again....

But luckily there's a old "new" 336CS on its way to me to-day! Pics as soon as it shows up!

Took the .35 Marlin out and give it a workin' over. (75 rounds) The rifle was sighted right on a 100 yards by the factory I guess. Shoots just like it should and I never touched the sights at all. It shot sub MOA at 25 yards but beyond that I just shot white stones in the sand bank about 100 yards away. These stones are about 4" in diameter and a favourite off hand target of mine. The little Marlin smacked them with authority. (200 gr Remington loads) Somehow the Marlin Bullseye fell out of the stock while I was shooting and is still at large. (epxoy was dried out) I fired 10.00 bucks off to Marlin for a replacement. Over all very nice carbine. Can't wait till deer/moose season....

cheers Darryl

Um, what is this? I'll have to go check my .444 to see if it has one.....

More Marlin pics please! Where did all those P&D guns go?

(eagerly awaiting my new 336CS toy!)

My 1976 .444S Not bought from P&D but you asked for Marlin pics:D Shot a dozen rounds out of it today shooting a 6"x6" 3/4" steel plate at 100 yards. It sure hits that plate with authority!!!

The Marlin Bullseye is the "target" in the butt near where a sling swivel stud would go. Often unknowing persons drill the bullseye to install a sling. It won't make a Marlin shoot better but it will complete the package.

cheers Darryl

how many of us bought a marlin from P&D?

Wow interesting how long this thread has been going for with out anyone giving anyone a hard tme or bad mouthing Marlin. Really nice to see. So can we do a head count as to how many folks bought these great lever guns? Also it would be nice if you are from around Edmonton you can say so because we are going to have a get together at Genesse this summer and shoot up a storm with some great prizes. Wouldn't you love to win 10 boxes of Leverevolution? FS
