Hey Revolver Shooters: Look What We've Got!

The performance center 2 tones are awesome. I was fortunate enough to find one at Wanstalls over a year ago. Was a great purchase.

I have the TRR8 and its a fantastic revolver. Highly recommend it. Looks great and performs just as well. A well crafted piece.

I don't know what to tell you -- This is the price in Canada. In firearm prices there is the cost of:

  • dollar exchange rate
  • brokerage and shipping across the border to the distributor
  • US export fees to the State Department
  • the distributor's fee which includes the cost of the manpower to do all this work and then register them in Canada and transfer them to the end dealer and then box it back up
  • shipping again to the dealer
  • and the little the dealer actually makes on firearms... which pays for all the manpower to unpack that shipment, log that pistol, put that pistol on the site or in the display case, post on CGN about that pistol, sell that pistol, transfer that pistol, keep the lights on and pay the bills, etc

In exchange you get: a very cool firearm that the distributor worked very hard to secure for the Canadian market (when that US-based manufacturer could just as easily have sold their firearms -- with MUCH less effort, man hours, and overhead -- to a US distributor or dealer), made legally available in Canada, with full warranty, just a click of a button or a phone call away.

I can confidently tell you right now that none of the dealers here in Canada operating a forum on CGN are out to gouge anyone. We are all shooters too, we all started on the other side of the counter, and we all love guns just as much as every other CGN poster. I am happy to stand by that price as it is the correct price based on the cost of the firearm as billed to us, and that includes all the stuff you see above. That is the price in Canada -- US MSRP has absolutely nothing to do with Canadian MSRP whatsoever because it includes none of the border fun and way less shipping etc!

They may have, but S&W is pretty good about honoring orders which were submitted before any discontinuation announcement. I haven't heard that, though. I'd love to see a link or a notice!

Cheers,
Daniel

If you haven't heard anything its probably false, I read that somewhere on cgn, I might have misread or read false info.

Anyhow keep up the good work guys!

You guys are killing me! The Smith website shows this item at $1,509.00 USD

Hey! I looked at the US price and your price and thought, "Wow! Only ten percent extra to buy up here. How did they do that? Woohoo!"

That's a relief, because those 5" .460s are seriously cool! :D Thanks for checking on your end!

The divide has gotten better over the last 10 years or so. The industry in Canada was really recovering for years from the law changes and it took huge steps backwards in buying power for some time there. Took some time to get infrastructure back, and our dollar getting in and around the par level with the USD again has done some good for the buying half of the industry on this side of the border. The increasing number of PALs and shooters each year and growing popularity means a healthier and more active industry, which is great for everyone. :D Lot of good dealers and distributors making headway for the shooting sport up here these days, driven by our great community of shooters coast to coast!

Cheers,
Daniel

OK That is pretty funny. Looks like someone should add to cart ...
The 460V is more my thing. I'll admit, that looks pretty cool. Might have to have a look if it's still there on Saturday.
