I've been on the site for a few weeks now and thought i would introduce myself. I'm in Vancouver (born and raised), and a member of Poco gun club and Silvercore. I'm a bit of a AR-15 nut although I'm expanding my horizons slowly but surely, as of now I'm the proud owner of 2 Imperial Defence AR-15's (1 with an aimpoint rig the other with eotech) ,2 Glock17's, a Benelli M4 Super 90, Remington 870 tactical, and my latest addition is my H&K MR223 (which will soon have an Elcan Spectre DR mounted on it).... I'm interested in info on good tactical training courses in my area, as well as finding info on good tactical equipment sources (most of my stuff comes from either Daves tactical or Zahal.org in Isreal... anywho...glad to be here and if anyone know's some good tactical training courses out this way, lemme know..

Hello and welcome. I'm in Nova Scotia and can't help with anything in BC (except for excellent gunsmith Barry Jensen in Delta). Enjoy the site.
 
You have been an owner for a while, and know which guns to buy. You asked about training. There aren't many courses run in Canada. They tend not to be widely advertised because of the perception of anti-social "training". IPSC Black Badge pistol gaming and CQB shooting matches are one thing, elevating the game to close quarter combat or kill-or-be-killed gunfighting is another.

That said, there is a company in Calgary named Tundra, that runs selection courses before it makes Private Security Contractor offers for its overseas workers. I had an invitation (don't know how or why) to spend $6500 of my own money and participate for 19 days, but only if I met their high physical fitness preconditions. Thanks no.

I live in ON and cant help you with courses but Im sure someone can and will!
