This says ALOT about the country you chose to move to.

Welcome to Canada, and welcome to our community.

I want to ask if you got any pasties but I'm scared of your handle. :D

BTW, from the intonation of your typing I believe your from the Redruth area, possibly St Day? :D
Funny you should ask, I made pasties last night, being recorded for a segment on CBC radio, no less.

I spent a lot of time in Lanner, just down the road from St. Day, since my best friend used to live there, but I grew up in Helston (Navy brat), and later on in Hayle.

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!!!!!

A few bits of advice...
If you want to save your marriage, bank account and sanity DO NOT SUBSCRIBE to the EE forum... Nothing but grief!:D Just kidding, know what stuff is worth and you will find plenty of great deals in the EE forum.

Also if you want to come and check out a range free of charge with no strings attached then just contact me and I'll give you the info.

Again welcome to the forum and perhaps one day we'll meet up to shoot some targets.

Don

AJ,

I've got family in St Day. My late grandads twin brother moved there when they came back from WWII.

Not Cornwall, but I did live in Brixham, Devon for a couple of years. The south west has some great roads for motorcycles. But I'm from the opposite corner.

cheers.

That's the truth. I had to sell my last bike to fund a divorce, and every year plan to get myself a Triumph Triple, but every year, it gets put off.

This year because I've spent too much in the EE forum.

That said, hitting the range tomorrow for the first time in about 20 years, and my first time shooting a rifle that's not either powered by air, or rimfire, so I'm pretty excited for that :)

Im a Yorkshire Lad, been here almost two years and dont have any plans to move back.

Just need to find a good cup o' tea and real bacon then Im set!

So far building a nice collection of firearms

Cheers to my fellow Brits and Canadians

There's a shop in Nova Scotia that sells real bacon, but that's probably not much use to you.

That said, I consider real bacon a fair trade for the coffee here versus the piss they serve in England.

AJ,

are you in NS and do they have real bacon? I've never got over the bacon here. I buy the closest thing I an find to belly pork here and make do. Either that or fry ham. Notice how this thread is all about food. And people say that Britain is not a Gourmet country. :D

Regarding the triumph triple, I once had a trophy. Awesome motor pull in top from almost zero when fully loaded. Then again fireblade motors were awesome too just not as comfy :)

Hey, good luck with your pastie making celebrity status. btw.

Yeah, there's an expat grocer here who owns a couple of shops, with a big British section with all the good stuff - bacon, jaffa cakes, tea, proper sweets and crisps, irn bru, heinz beans, all the good stuff that we miss :)

AJ, had a 74 triumph trident for many years... loved her but due to $ issues a few years ago i had to let her go. been regretting it ever since.

My Family came from Buckinghamshire (High Wycombe). A Family of Gypsies that likely were told to Leave. :) I see the Gypsie come out once and awhile in some of our Family Members. Makes for some interesting conversation sometimes.
