Someone has to come clean on this...

Just purchased a descent Norinco M-14/M305. (Thx Nyksta)
What a great reproduction of the real M14!

After doing a little research, I find the USM-6 Bayonet is the closest that might fit this rifle.
Lots of M5's ,M7's and 8's but no M6's that I can find.

Someone must have a lot of them tucked away in their basement not willing to share...

I purchased one in January from eBay. Seller is antartics from Cyprus for $120 Canadian.

He had a new listing every week that month. Mine is marked US M6 Imperial. It came with a PWH USM8A1 scabbard.

I found both the M14 and M16 bayonets at local gun shows, sure there are a lot of over priced tables full of junk at these shows, but sometimes you can find real gems
 
the m16 et al takes the m7 or m9 bayonets- the m6s are rare as hen's teeth- I ive one eichorn and us- if you want a bayonet for the us m14 etc, look OUTSIDE the us as well- if memory serves I got my eichorn from Sherwood international and it says made in west germany - i'll bet its solengen steel really, passed throgh west german hands and then to Sherwood when west germany "upgraded" if u can call it that to the m16

Thought I'd try and bump this post too.
Never know... it might help.
I've tried to contact a couple of the seller on EBay that have M6 bayo for sale but they will not mail to Canada.
 
From PM sent to Bayo mounted...10 days...pretty hard to beat that!!!!

Walter_PPK was nice enough to send me a web site from the States.

The end of the bayo does touch the gas port plug.
