so i was wandering the gun store this past weekend, and saw a nice hunting rifle, but i've never heard of them....

anybody know if they're any good??? in Europe they seem to cost more than Sauer rifles but here they seem to be less than Sauers...

You must have been talking to Aleks. I saw it too and it does look nice. The trigger is sweet.
 
Heym make excellent rifles. They are an old company and while popular in Europe, they do not have widespread popularity in North America. One interesting rifle they built is a bolt action that was/is chambered in large calibers, including the .600 Nitro Express.
 
I have a heym SR 20 that is the most accurate rifle I own, .5" 5 round groups. SLICK action and excellent metalwork. Just a treat to carry 30/06 and has that feel of a hand made rifle, they are rare and usually not cheap,


I cannot wait to get some blood on mine
And wish I could afford a Heym Double!:( :(

Heym makes excellent rifles. Very smooth acting. Handled quite a few of them in Germany, all were superbly well made.
