HEYM shotgun

That is what he meant, You will have to sent some pictures, but not my expertez.
Or is the 2 triggers , one for each barrel, that would not be set trigger.
a true set trigger if it has 2, is you pull the first one and that "sets " the trigger, the second trigger will be a "hair' trigger now.
a set trigger with just one , you usually push it ahead and than pull, real light trigger for target work., the Germans where great for these, thou I have had Marlins and Winchester guns with set triggers, also hi end Stevens, ballards, etc.

Hey Reiney, It would appear you have a Heym model 22F Bockbuschflinte or BBF. Its essentially a German combo gun. Looks like it has a claw-mount scope which is removable. I "think" that front trigger may "set" the rear trigger and the side lever is a either a safety or some sort of barrel selector. Some of these guns have to be manually cocked by sliding the button under the thumb forward. they are all a little different.

Not to insult your intelligence, but double check the gauge and calibres. They were usually a bit bigger than .410 and .22 I wouldn't be surprised if its a 16 or 20ga over 7x57 or the like...maybe.222?

Regardless, looks pretty cool and in nice shape. Interest in these guns varies in Canada and value will depend on the cartridge combo and if you can find a weirdo like me that has a soft spot for guns like this. My "guess" would be $800-$1500 depending...

It's a model 22S, I have an identical one in 20 ga/7x57R that I ordered in fom W. Germany about 35 years ago, it's my go to hunting rifle. The button on the left side of the receiver is the barrel selector, it has a manual sliding cocking button on the top where a safety would be on most break action shotguns and a single set trigger ( the front trigger fires the gun, the rear trigger sets it and is adjustable). The scope mount returns precisely to the same point of aim every time. Very scarce in Canada, I've only seen two others in 35 years. Also a very underappreciated type of firearm here and a little known maker. Very nice gun, quality equals similar guns by Merkel, Kreighoff, etc.

OK, did some more looking at this piece....I've never fired it and it's been sitting in my safe....it's a 20ga over 222. The only markings I can find on the scope are 4X and the brand name Noris. Maybe if I send dilly the newest pics he would be kind enough to post them for me.

No sweat

That thing would make a good coyote rig. Buckshot for the close up runners and 222 for the out far standers. I bet with the right bullets, it’s accurate too.
