Hi,

My name's Spencer, and I am an Industrial Designer from Edmonton. I'm a former airsofter who decided to stop playing with toy guns, and try the real thing. I have very little experience shooting real firearms, but I am a bit of a military enthusiast (and minored in Military History in university). I'm mainly interested in shooting paper, and am very interested in possibly moving into gunsmithing and learning the mechanical side to shooting.

I'm also a huge car guy - I drive an 89 Nissan Skyline GTR that I have spent countless hours and dollars resurrecting from near death. It's making a reliable 360awhp and is my daily driver - even during the ugly Edmonton winters. I'm also into bikes (the kind that you pedal, not motorcycles), and have ridden everything from Cro-mo through Al, Ti (my favorite so far), and am now riding a carbon Kuota Kredo.

I hope that all of the Nutz here on CGN will be able to provide me with a bit of guidance in choosing the right first firearm and beyond.

Thanks
SVT

Hello and welcome. I think you'll find lots of opinions on any question or comment you post in General Firearms Discussion or one of the specialty forums. I'm old and fat and can't pedal anything any more, and drive a '99 Dodge pickup. But I have spent most of my adult like collecting handguns with interesting methods of "locking" (or dwell time, as J. B. Wood likes to call it) and have serious interest in the ways self-loader designers have handled the problem of delaying opening the action of a pistol.

Welcome you'll find all the help u could ask for here (sometimes too much lol) my suggestion is go into a big gun shop play with the guns see what u like then check about the details on it and look around for the best price
