Hi from a future Canadian

Hi to all thanks for the warm welcome !!!http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
:D

Just for clarification: All political parties suck, lie and promise more than they will do.

Social does not mean socialist.

Liberal does not meant leftist !

And isn't it nice to have diversity in opinion and still not kill each other and have the same hobby? Try this in the Balkan or Near East!

Anyway, glad to be here and hope my move goes through.

I have two Enfield rifles (SMLE and No4 Mk 1*) which shoot great, a SIG 229 cal 0.40 SW also great shooter, and an inherited Mauser HSc 1941 7.62 (O.32).

It almost looks as if the last one is the hardest to get in...

You will not be able to bring the HSC in at all, unless you change the calibre to .380 and put a 4" plus barrel in it, sorry they are great little guns. No problem with the rifles or the other pistol.

Hi, I am German and I have been living in the US for more than 10 years, but never really felt home here (especially in Bush country).
The only advantage her is the lax gun laws, so I got into shooting and love it.

Now I got a job offer with my company in Canada and I will be moving to BC.

That brings up the question about any tips how to get 2 pistols and two rifles to Canada. I know I will have to pass a safety test - which should not be a problem since I have not shot myself in all these years.

Anyway I am happy to join this forum and come to the friendly Canadians.

What you should do is looking at getting your PAL (Canadian firearms license) before you move. Once you have this you can pre-register your firearms as long as they are not "Prohibited status" in Canada. The next challenge you'll have is getting a State Department export license which will allow you to export your guns out of the US. For this you'll need to contact a licensed exporter - there is one in Lynden, WA (Dave's Sports) who can do all of this for you. htt p://www.davessports.com/

Wilkommen. If you ever get sick and tired of the west coast, come check out the Muskoka region in Ontario. Viele Deutche hier. Und dann komm zu Kitchener für Oktoberfest. Tchuss!
