Hi from BC, the 'Non-Snow' Island

Hi all,
Gun Nut from BC here. Great to see a strong, vibrant gun culture in Canada still. SKS and Savage owner here, when money and the wifey allow, will get a restricted. Can't wait to get advice and see some great gun pics.
-Plastic.

The Holker one, that needs the hill to go out to 300. We may have met, I can only get in once a month or so. You loving the rain yet, or what?:D

Hi, I live on the rock but moved off in '76 because I thought with all the people moving onto the Island it was going to sink. Back last year for a visit and now I'm sure it's going to sink.

Damn straights, DLM. Waaaayyy too many easterners here now, and foreigners developing on what used to be pristine land. I've got to travel further and further just to bushwack.

My baby got on the keyboard.

No snow yet!

You couldn't call it non-snow last year could you. I was there for Christmas, I couldn't believe my eyes: there was more snow there then here (Edmonchuk).
But I still LOVE the place and I'll keep going back.

Welcome aboard.

If we had our way anyone east of Gibsons would need a special invite and a passport to visit our island home.
I arrived here from Ontario 21 years ago and am putting my foot down, unless there are any objections.
I shoot at the Parksville Qualicum Fish and Games Chattel Rd rifle and pistol range /or up the mountain,We can still do that.

So your not actually from there originally but no one else to be there....

I was invited by friends ,but they moved to Ontario. It does snow here.1996 4 feet in 24 hrs only lasted a week or so but man did it snow. Then last year snowed on the 13 of november and didnt leave till the end of February we had 3 feet in the Qualcum area .
Power outages are more frequent but not as bad as 3 years ago, brutal windstorm and we were without power for a total of 10 days between October 26th and November 15.Good thing we already had generators as there were none to be had a few days into the storm.

Here are some pics from last year in Sunny Qualicum
