Hello, new user here, just sent off for my PAL so I'm impatiently scrolling the classifieds looking for a dependable .22 to get started with. Hoping to use it for shooting practice and grouse too. I did a fair bit of shooting back while in cadets in England with those weird military bullpup rifles we have, and a bit with some target rifles, but never had a chance to get into hunting. I'm looking forward to learning more and I'm hoping to get out hunting in region 2 or somewhere nearby this fall. I figured I'd start with grouse and then look at getting a .308 to go after deer. I'm a climber so I like the idea of getting up into the mountains and other remote places. There's not much crossover between the climbing and hunting communities but I think that's mostly a cultural thing, there are definitely some seemingly transferable skills.
