New here. I live in Calgary, and I see that there are are plenty of people on here from Calgary which is nice to see.

I spent 3.5 years in the Army. I don't have my PAL yet, but plan to very soon. I look forward to learning a ton on this site. There is a lot of info on here.

tootall, i'll definitely look at your links. lots of info. my shooting interests are basically, since I got out of the military I've had a desire to get back into shooting.

I would also like to purchase a weapon for self defense issues within my own home.

My basic idea of how I was going to do things is first buy and become proficient using a shotgun. Secondly would be a pistol, and finally an AR-15 because I miss using the C7.
