Hey Gang!
I got turned on to this site from outdoorsmenforum.ca where I have been a member for a while.
Im getting back into shooting after many years away & am looking to do some hunting this year. Ive been doing tons of research into what kind of gun to get & now that I found this site will do tons more!

Not yet but I am planning on it. I was thinking of joining the RD Gun Club, as they have the indoor range as well as the outdoor one...
I always used to just go shoot down at the end of the C&E trail there.
Im not sure what other ranges are available?

It's pretty much between the Fish and Game range and Red Deer Shooting Sports. RDSSA is all pistol oriented. They allow rimfire but the range is only 50m. Seemed like every time I wanted to go I would check their calendar only to get out there and find the police have the place to themselves for the day. That happened quite a lot... F&G can be a pretty busy place but I like it.

I forgot to add there are many great clubs within an hour of RD as well.

There is also a trap/skeet club I believe...
I was going to start with the Fish & Game club, but the pistol club is on my side of town so I'd like to give it a try eventually

If I had a working vehicle I would offer to take you out there. I don't though so maybe someone else will offer to help get this guy into a local range?
 
Welcome aboard. RDF&G is a good club to shoot everything at, thats where my membership currently is. Emile's is still an option, but for anything more than casual shooting, it can sometimes get tiresome dealing with knuckleheads out there, plus restricteds are a no-no. It is a nice close option though if you want to sight something in or do some mild target work.

I appreciate the offer, but Ive got a working vehicle! Im at work right now down in the Gulf for another 4 weeks though...

Maybe when I get home Ill pick YOU up & check out that range!
