I'm a gun rights activist in the US and I'm studying gun laws and anti-gun movements around the world such as in Brazil, Australia, Switzerland, Canada and other places. It’s important to understand what is going on in these areas where anti-gun people are gaining ground (even in Switzerland) in order to organize the most effective fight against the anti-gun crowd in the USA. I’m a member of the NRA, and I love target shooting. I hope you don’t mind if I view the forum and post every once in a while.

Welcome, not at all, I post on a few US sites as well, what do you like to shoot?

I've been shooting pistols at the range but not in competitions, just trying to keep my groups tight, but I've gotten into long gun shooting with a 30 ought 6 I was given a long time ago. I'm trying to work my way out to longer ranges as I learn techniques but I'd like to buy a new rifle with better accuracy and I'm considering getting into competition with it.

Thanks for the welcome yall.:D

Hey! I'm a Canadian transplant to Houston. Want to take me shooting? :)

You going to the gun show in Houston tomorrow? perhaps coffee is in order...

Welcome aboard

I would say given recent events here in Canada that the anti-gun crowd is losing ground, not gaining it.

I'm in lubbock right now studying for an exam. I go to San Antonio when I'm not at the university. Let me know how the gun show is in Houston.

Howdy

since there is already a Texas thread :)

I'm Mulligan, currently residing on the fringe of the Dallas Fort Worth Metro.

Army Veteran, Lifetime NRA member, OathKeepers member, part-time amateur Gunblogger, former Self Defense instructor, aspiring gunsmith, occasional hunter (when I'm hungry)

I do some damage to the paper enemy hordes at the various local ranges, when funds allow. Despite my efforts their numbers remain undiminished :(

my biggest project currently is compiling newbie shooter information for my website http://outofoptions.wordpress.com/mentors/

thx for letting me in

That's good to hear. Same in Texas, we are slowely gaining ground. Texas has a gun friendly population but anti-gun activists and police have pushed for more gun control while people have not noticed, now we've noticed, so things will go back in the other direction. We're working on full open carry, licenced carry on university campuses and private parking lots/garages of corporations. Texas is also ready to use the 10th amendment in case the feds try to force gun registration. Texas will simply pass a bill in our senate that overrides the federal law using the 10th amendment.

I always tried to pay my credit card off before going to Reliant, because there was always something I would need. If you couldnt find it there, you could never find it.
