Not sure who told you it is non refurbished. If it is the one pictured, the stock alone will be a refurbishment stock. It isn't the right color for non refurbished. Shoot it and have fun as others have said.

These rifles were meant to run, shoot and shoot some more.
Good call on non-corrosive, have only fed mine non-corrosive from day 1…

It is the original stock, it has the original serial # and no forced matching. I am guessing the original owner sanded it down and oiled it.

Also the bolt cover is not marked at all other than the serial number on the back.

I love it when I go to the range with my CZ 858 and someone sees me using corrosive ammunition in it. OMG! You use corrosive in that!?

Why!?

Because its cheap.

You should only use non-corrosive though that gun! Don't you know its a non chromelined barrel!

Boiling hot water......... Boiling.... hot.... water.

Not all refurbished SKS's had the cover stamped. But if the stock has been sanded by a previous owner, it will be hard to tell, but the value of Un issued/as issued is gone nonetheless. But I have seen them come in this condition from the latest batched imported into Canada with the stocks sanded and sold from the retailers that way. Either way it will be a good shooter.

Oh SKS love! It's the first center fire auto loader I shot and feel in love with! They came and went through my rifle cabinet and always said," that's the last one!" So I picked up 15 hand selected some mint some refurbished for builds. For the price, you can not beat them! Too much fun for one little rifle. Never has one let me down. Crete was $50 complete and I got to pick my rifles for it for $180 out the door. I'm good with that. Cheers
