Hi John, could I reutrn this gun?

"A minute to make a cursory examination of the gun should not be a problem and a gun with such a flaw should go back and in my opinion at the sellers cost ... for a refund and forget about it. "

I tried to explain how being covered in thick oil the blemish may have escaped our notice,
Please take a few moments to read our replies to the buyer, we have offered to replace the gun, replace the barrel, refund in full.... We offered a 10% discount on the pistol....All shipping costs to our account if any returns....

The owner has not accepted any of the above

What the hell else can we do ??

John

I see that you are far too logical in your thinking....
You should have demanded all new carpeting, free of course, any other repairs in the house that needed fixing, also free....
A lifetime pension for yourself and any other occupant(s) of the house because of carpet trauma experienced at the hands of the incompetent workers....
You are right, the world is completely screwed up

Like someone else mentionned, this thread is great advertising for Marstar. I've been visiting the website and will surely be buying something before too long.

On motorcycle forums etc. you'll rarely(never) see so many forum members come to the defense of any retailer/dealership.

This is the way the world is turning, you can't just offer to fix or replace the item Now people feel they should be compinsated for the inconvience.I think what Marstar has offered is exactly what they should offer Nothing more nothing less, Now the ball is in the OP court, I personally would jump at a new barrel that would be the fastest route

I agree. Vendors on this site can do no wrong and are gods. If someone dare post anything trying to sort something out with a vendor be warned. Your fellow brothers, and sisters here will flame the shiet out of you.

they say there is no such thing as bad advertising. its been a couple weeks since the last marstar thread. johnone do you give discounts to guys starting these threads? the discount deeper for threads that stay on top longer?....j/k :)

that's great man and fair - a mistake was made; we are all human and all we can do is move forward and correct it. i haven't bought anything from you yet but based solely on this i wouldn't hesitate to do business with you in the future.

that being said; my drunk rant last night was meant for all the people flaming the OP for posting something to HIS vendor's forum.

Ummm rugerman are you agreeing with me or pickin on me lol?? Your confusing.

Sorry, don't know which part was confusing. Was definitely agreeing with you. Thought you were pretty much saying what a lot of us were thinking.

I meant that no one comes to the defense because most merchants haven't earned customer support. You brought up another point that I'm in no position to comment on.

cheers

he bought a gun, he received a rusted piece of s**t... why shouldn't he post about it where ever the hell he feels like it???
OR
he bought a norc so he deserves a piece of s**t rusted hunk of metal?

never-mind, its rhetorical...

what are you the thought fraking police? next you tell him where he can buy his firearms and not... better yet you tell him what kind of firearms he can have or not... where does it stop?

point being; shut the frak up unless the post was meant for you or you have something helpful for the OP

shut the frak up unless the post was meant for you
:p

Lol, good call, I'm going to find an internet carpet forum they are in and go for it!

You did the right thing John, so many people in this little messed up world of ours have no clue. Looking for something for nothing...

I did not know how these norcs were packaged and I now understand it is possible to not see such a flaw.

As it appears you have done and tried everything far and beyond expectations to appease the upset OP.

If he does not want a replacement or a full refund then IT IS YOU who should just forget about it. All the best.

These Whining threads are solid GOLD. I really value the ability to see how people react to reality without me having to rectify the situation. It helps me sort who I wish to trade with and who I will not deal with.
I realize that because of the amount of business that Marstar does, once in awhile a problem may go undetected. Also, the prices reflect what the product is, a chinese made clone in most cases. A product that is usually, dollar for dollar spent, a superior value. Albeit, the QC is 99.5% not 100, likely close to a certain american made brand(s).
My $300-350 1911's are great and the M14S(M305)'s I've had were good too.

Wow the haters be hatin' as my son would say. Talk about an internet lynch mob.

Common guys and girls we would all be pissed if we bought something new and it came rusted. Doesn't matter if it is a Norc or a Kimber. You would be ticked plain and simple, Right? This Gent sends a email in to Marstar, a business that does it thing on the internet. So it is resonable to believe that Marstar checks their emails on a regular basis. I am not slamming anyone or taking sides here just putting a few things in perspective. I have sent email to Marstar and not received a reply to said email, I have also send PM's on this forum directly to JohnOne and not recieved a reply either. As JohnOne has stated in the past on here he travels a lot so he is not always in a position to answer PM's (Not everyone may be as aware of this as the regulars). In the mean time here the OP is just Steaming Mad by this point (understandably one could say). Of course the forum Nazi's jump on the guy, Harshly IMHO, saying well he should know to phone (and maybe he should). However OP goes on to explain that he has damaged vocal cords from an accident making phone conversation problematic, then again understandable. This is why he was doing online business. Personally I like dealing with Marstar, love the guarentee. However Living outside Ontario (I know) sometimes phoning is a pain in the Ass, most of us have Job's and sometimes writing an email is by far easier then picking up the phone, not everyone has a boss that would be OKay with you making a personal call to your (gun) dealer, LOL. So I can understand where this guy is coming from to this point. JohnOne you are not the easiest guy to get ahold of you have admitted in the past many times. One assumes not knowing how big your business is that you have an office staff for emails. This may not be so, but like I said before one assumes an internet business does. As for those Dicks that slamed this guy for going to the forum so soon and not calling first, from what I saw, he went to the next form of communication available to him. Everyone has their situations. However to his credit JohnOne did offer a replacement gun or barrel. To me this is very reasonable. Where the whole thing falls apart to what I don't understand is, Why did the OP complain if you didn't want anything done about it? Most of your post I can understand having been there but when John offers to fix it you don't allow him any recourse. Nothing can be done if you don't want the help offered to you. I never got a discount for my revolver that the nickel was coming off. Never expected on either, I just wanted it replaced and John made that happen. Email communication could have been better but this is not a perfect world and #### happens

Here Here.
Just gotta love those "Dicks" that have to tear a strip off the OP when he complains about a vendor on this site. I know from my own experience. Don't come on here if you have an issue with a vendor, or you'll get your balls feed to you. The love affair these "Dicks" have with the vendors on this site is actually alarming.

Ever stopped to consider that maybe YOU are the "####"? I remember your complaints about SFRC and they were downright petty, just like most complaints against most of the vendors here. Maybe that's why people who have had good experiences, or who have been reasonable and sorted things out logically, support the vendors who really aren't gods and really can't please everybody.

What I like about Marstar:

Dealing with John.

This guy has been around guns since he could crawl and has forgotten more than most on this site know. He is always fair to deal with. He has a good stock of items and from time to time gets in the more unusual stuff. He helped me with parts some time ago that I could not get find anywhere.....even in the US.

My only compaint is this: the rest of you buggers out there always seem to beat me to the limited quantity rare items......but then early to rise - first to get the worm....or something like that. :)

The complainers on here need to get a life.......wanna really have something to get super p*ssed about?.....then join my life and you will see how lessons are needed in biting ones tongue, holding back the cursing and controlling the blood pressure.....arising from things that have no easy solution (perhaps no f*cking solution whatsoever) like offered by John!

Ok, I understand not using the phone with said medical concern.
I don't however understand what the problem is with using email before going public
If you read back in the thread, it was clearly shown that OP gave Marstar no time to respond to email whatsoever.

True, Like I said before was not taking sides. However reasonable amount of time to respond to one person might not be resonable to another. I know when I am pissed about something from a store and am waiting for a reply I can be damn impatient. Doesn't excuse anything just another way of looking at it for the sake of disscussion.
