Hi-Point 995ts carbine

The mag that comes with the 45acp holds 5, but the pistol mags availabe hold nine I believe, and the 40 holds 10. The mags are clearly marked for pistol use only, for legal reasons, but function fine in the carbines.

I picked mine up from Cabela's around the same time for the same price. Fun gun to shoot. I have only gone to the range a couple of times since then, it shot pretty well considering I'm getting into shooting and I'm not a great shot. I ordered a red dot off of Amazon(about $40) and recently put it on, I took off the original sights, front and back, easy to do. I haven't shot with the new optic on yet, but hoping to get out this weekend.

Because the magazines are designed for the carbine. The magazines between the handguns and the carbines are not interchangeable. They might fit in some calibers, but they are designed differently.

Nope.. Considering the 40 and 45 mags are not pinned and fit both in the carbine and pistol. 9mm are pinned to 5rds because there is no 9mm handgun available in Canada and the carbine came out before the pistol. Thus 5 rds.

I snagged a half dozen of the 5's and 5/20s from IRUNGUNS a few months ago. You might have luck there.

Can't wait to get out and try 'em

I picked mine up in march have not shot it yet but decked it out in amazon cheap stuff. Looks cool and for the price cant beat it. I also heard its pretty reliable

well I took out one of my High point 9mm Carbines to the range today.
I was shooting at the metal 10 inch plates at 100 yard mark & it got boring.
I needed some challenge so I went over to the Long Range.
I set up some metal pig targets at the 200 yard mark.
using blazer 124g round nose.
I had to hold " about" 3 1/2 feet above the piggies,...but once I got that figured out, it was pig for shot.

They are are pretty heavy targets but the 9mm dropped them no problem.
I'm very happy with the HP Carbine. I think its one of the most under rated carbines out there.

here is the rig I used. yup, open site.
