Hi all:
I recently purchased one of these inexpensive carbines in the 9mm flavour i was a bit skeptical on all the reviews i have read on the quality of the hipoint brand but i am here to say this little rifle is pretty darn accurate and i have had zero ftf and jams in the 200 rounds i stuffed through it yesterday at the club it is fun fun fun!!! anybody thinking about one of these should jump right in and get it, i know they arent a colt or swiss made but wow entry level fun at its finest for sure!!! cheers and happy shootin !!

Looks like it would be a fun carbine...

I was very very tempted to buy one... if I lived in the U.S. I would get one in a second.

But, being restricted, plus limited to 5 rounds (why couldn't they use a Hi-Point pistol mag instead?), I decided against it. Shame, because it looks like a lot of fun! Maybe one day they will make a Canadian unrestricted version.

Yeah i guess being restricted is a pain for some people, i spend more time at my range than in the bush anyways so it is no bother for me at all. yes though i must admit the mags need to be bigger! I did buy two more from hi point and that lessens the pain a bit :)

I have the 9mm and it's a great gun. If was to buy one now i would get the 40 or 45 they come with 10 round mags.

Maybe the 40 but the 45 is getting pretty expensive reloading the 9 and the 40 are so cheap especially when a guy can find all the brass on the ground at the range, the 45 is like gold though everyone seems to be able to find the time to pick that stuff up :) but i betcha the 40 would get some pretty good accuracy out to 100 yards? i never shot my 9 out very far as i was shooting pistols at the time but i am going to bring it to the rifle range next and see gow it fairs out at the 100 ???
