Hi point 9mm semi non-res carbine is here!!!

Cuz you can take this ugly wreck out to the bush and bash it for 500$. 5 round mags? Least of the problems. I'm looking forward to trying this out. The restricted versions were built like a plastic club. Can't see a negative.

So are the mags pinned to five or it uses pistol mags?

Use their own priority magz, just read online that the 9mm Carbine magz {somehow} work in either, but the 9mm pistol magz only works in the pistol..so sol. Also I read that the .40 cal uses S&W magz, so there is hope with that one. The .45 are 8 rnd. Edit- Im sure there will be some {legal} work arounds/modifications. Seems to be plenty of info out there.

God they're ugly. How hard is it to redo the outside polymer to make it more aesthetically pleasing and take glock/1911 mags?! Give the people what they want!

That said i'm still tempted to get one.

Are these basically the pistol model with a long barrel and stock?

From the RCMP website, :
Magazines designed or manufactured for both centrefire calibre rifles and handguns
Magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a semiautomatic rifle are limited to five cartridges. However, magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a semiautomatic handgun are limited to 10 cartridges. Magazines designed or manufactured for use in both semiautomatic rifles and semiautomatic handguns are subject to the limit of five cartridges.
Example:
Hi-Point rifle and handgun chambered for 9mm Luger caliber:
