Anybody got any opinions on the Hi-Point JHP 45? I know they are cheap and not the most esthetically pleasing but I hear they are pretty good for the money.

I have the same in 40 S&W.
Kinda fugly but it goes bang every time.
I changed the sight to the ring that they include, seems better for my old eyes.
Nicer finish than any of my Norincos and you don't have to spend a day cleaning off Norincoil.
For the price, you really can't go wrong.
 
Just buy one and decide for yourself. Seems like people either see value in something like that or they just s**t on it. Aside from the weight and it's hideousness I like it.
 
I had the same question a few weeks back and seemed everyone said i should go with a norinco. I haven't got one of either yet, but it seems to me that the extra hundred on a nork would be well worth the money, plus they look a whole lot better. The only trouble is trying to find one....
 
I have one. It looks ugly until you hold one. I find it big in my hand but I don't have large hands. For the money they appear to be well made. I haven't had a chance to fire it as I am waiting for my ATT.
 
Just looking through my old posts here,,,,,,I bought a Hi Point JHP.45 and am pretty happy with it...Yes it is a monster,and doesn't have the looks but they are pretty accurate and reliable pistol for the money. I paid like $200 for mine and have probably put about 500 rounds through it with no problems..The weight and large hand grip don't really bother me as I'm pretty big at 6'4 265..

I Recently purchase a Hi-Point JCP, and it's great. First time out I took 200 rounds with me, no jams no ftf or fte of any kind. I'm not a big guy, 5'8" with M to L hands, works great for me. My wife even enjoys it, so they are not that big. Just ugly, affordable and reliable. Not to mention when had a peice of the guts bend on me Kodiak Outpost just sent me a replacement, for free no hassle at all.

I recommend these for sure.
