i just aquired a second hand Mk 3 Hi-Power. i tore it apart tonight and put it back together, and i think i did it wrong. i pull the trigger and the hammer stays cocked, and i cannot engage the safety. what did i do wrong?

your right,,if you put the barrel where the magazine is supposed to go, it wont work, its scrap.. rugers do that.No1paperpuncher said:Hello,

NDB said:You might have the recoil spring and guide upside down. The recoil guide/spring assembly should be parallel to the barrel but can be inserted upside down. The retaining pin must locate in the spring guide correctly.
