Hi-Power in camo...

I'd like it more if they made it with a beavertail tang to eliminate hammer bite. I've only shot about 2 or 3 mags in a HP, but I'll have the scar for life.

Not my cup of tea.....

NAA.

Reminds me of my first CGA monitor when I had screwed up my programming. You sometimes see the same effect on digital TV when there is interference. Not something to emulate.

Does anyone know what the finish is on the new Browning HP? Mine (it was black) had what seemed to be some sort of baked on polymer. It was very tough....wish I could get it in a can for some other projects...

Marketing. If a bad guy is close enough to need a handgun to stop his interest, you've made a serious tactical error and he knows you're there.

BHP come in only one finish, Parkerized!

Wrong. Taken from Brownings web sight...

Description: • Receiver - Steel, Black epoxy finish • Barrel - 4 5/8", Black epoxy on slide, High profile fixed sights • Action - Locked breech, Single-action trigger, Ambidextrous thumb safety • Grips - Composite panels • Features - Extra magazine

I wish someone knew what that finish was or offered it here.

This is for the naa sayers .........whats so worng with a Browning High Power,,AND I am refering to the gun not the chezzzze finish ???

There's no wisdom to be shared. Glock fanboys are a strange crowd; any gun that doesn't look like something that should be floating in a toilet does not appeal to them.

The BHP is available in two finishes: 1) traditional polished blue and 2) "epoxy finish", as Browning calls it, which is a polymer-based, bake-on paint applied over parkerizing. It's a fairly tough finish, and very corrosion resistant.

I did already. They shoot well, but for some of us, the hammer bite is too much of a nuisance to put up with. Maybe that's why Indiana Jones only used his HP a couple of times before he went back to his 1917 vintage, S&W .45 ACP, Model 22. :D

BTW... It always bugged me that they showed Indy using the HP, S&W Model 22 and the Webley MKVI. I really think that Dr. Jones would have been a one-gun man... M1911, and nothing but.

Instead of a fancy paintjob...I'd rather see:

No mag safety
Something to prevent hammer bite(combo of possible beaver tail or spur hammer)
Nicer sights

Cosmetic:
Cooler grips
Wider slide serrations
Possible rail for tacticool guys(hey if you are making a camo painted pistol...)
Keep it less busy paintjob...like OD or Coyote tan
