Hi power

Please take note that before FEG produced their legally made Browning HP's, they were supplying Belgium made BHP's to the Hungarian military and police force, these pistols were bought from Belgium, marked as FN Brownings just like this one is, and then assembled in Hungry and numbered by FEG before distribution, the only company that produced HP "clones" without a license was Norinco, FEG imports and FEG produce HP's are as good as any Belgium made HP out there.

Any other reference to back that up?
I find it hard to believe FN would supply complete unmarked pistol "kits" to FEG to complete and add the Browning name to it....
This is pretty much the FEG bible BTW

If Makawa has information that FEG was producing FN marked Hi-Powers with the blessing of FN I'd love to see his sources. A lot of serious and very knowledgeable Hi-Power collectors don't seem to know anything about it. Nor do the authors of any of the BHP or FEG books I have seen.

Yes, thanks to the mods for cleaning this up.

As a final comment. These counterfeit FN Hi-Powers are an interesting footnote to an iconic handgun. I'd be interested in owning one someday just for the novelty factor.
