Hiawatha..who made them?

I'm a little confused with this gun. My father in law has one and the small piece that holds in the mag has snapped off and he wants another part. Can't figure out who made this gun but I suspect it is a cooey/lakefield or maybee a sears special. All it says on the barrel is HIAWATHA.

I haven't seen it as he called me to ask....Anyone .22 guru know so I can search for a part?

Mine says Cooey Hiawatha right on the barrel I also need a mag or two good luck let me know if your successful and if they have more. Right now I have a nice accurate single shot semi

My mag thats broken says Cooey right on the bottom.


Just re read your post and you need the part that holds the mag in not the mag so you might get lucky finding that.

A pic of the mag and magwell would help also. But I beleive it would be the same as the Lakefield/Mossberg.Hiawatha was a MacLeods logo IIRC.

Thanks for all the help....I'd put up a pic but like I mentioned, he called me about it its not mine. I am sure a cooey or same model lakefield part will work as I am 95% that it is a cooey now. Now to find the parts.
