Pretty much every sponsor dealer that carries milsurps have them. We're lucky, they're far more available in Canada than the US. They go for between ~ $300 - $350 up here, $1200.00 and up south of the border.

Accuracy? Well... they stopped making them at the end of WWII, most of them saw action on the Eastern Front (some traded hands back and forth a few times... The Germans liked them enough that they put captured ones into service, and then when the Germans started losing ground, back to the Soviets...) So... Accuracy is going to be "As accurate as the one you get."

Most were refurbished after the war and put into storage. I can group at 100 yards with my SVT as well as I can group anything with open sights, which means it's more accurate than me. Your mileage will vary.
 
Unless you are an old guy and your eyes don't work that well with irons, you'll shoot great. The irons are better than the Mosin's, those are terrible.

Some Canadian Tire stores carry them. Last time I looked they were $299.00 !!

As for being accurate, mine is dead on at 100 yards and I hit the 200 yard gong at my range regularly, using only iron sights.
 
Hickok45 is a reference, i always try to see if he made a video on the firearm i want to buy... I should get my SVT out for a spin, it's being to long... JP.

I do the same.. but he never says too much bad about what he shoots.. if he does not test it it's usually because he does not like the gun or it's a poor design
 
Using him to see whether buying a rifle might be worthwhile is a bit tough. He's almost a classic case of "the rifleman is more important than the rifle."

He can make pretty much any firearm shoot well.
 
Hickok45 is the man, always get a kick out of his videos. Too bad Barry from Moss Pawn on iraqveteran8888's channel past away, I also found him very entertaining.
 
God I remember when he put a pic on Facebook saying he had one at the compound. Waited for like a month for him to put that beauty up. Having just acquired an SVT-40 it was quite exciting to see Hickok45 handle that beauty.

Each store makes their own prices, I am told. This is the Windsor, ON, (CT South location on Walker Rd).
