Hickok45 M&P9 5" Pro Series

The trigger is the reason the M&P Pro is like a chore to remain IPSC legal. I've heard a number of people at IPSC matches say that their triggers have ended up under 5lbs eliminating them from production division.

One solution they might try is to install a trigger spring from the full size gun. With my full size frame under my Pro top end my trigger pull is 5.5lbs.

Doesn't production mean original parts for that gun not other models unless the spring is used in several guns. ?

The springs are for the M&P series of pistols. The frames on the Pro and Full Size models in 9MM, .40cal, and .357Sig are identical.

Bob, do you have the Apex RAM installed in any of your Pro Series guns? I bought it but haven't installed it yet. Did you install the Comp EAK or the DCEAK kit in yours? The reason why I ask is you said that your trigger pull was 5.5#

I have it in one of my guns. I have to tell you it didn't do much for me. I guess if the trigger spring breaks you still can make the gun go bang but for making a more audible sound on the reset.....I guess you need more sensitive ears than I have as I don't feel or hear the reset any differently then the guns without the RAM. You may like it, I am not so sure it does much.

I've enjoyed the Hickock45 videos I've watched. He's an accomplished shooter and his reviews are pretty objective. He has favourites, but he isn't biased.

I also appreciate the fact that he invites criticism of his videos and comments on it. He cleaned up his act after he got flak for sloppy gunhandling, apologizing for the apparent lack of safety at times.
When you set yourself up as a guru, you make yourself a target for a lot of internet 'experts' and keyboard commandos who couldn't shoot with him shot for shot. He sets the standard for such videos.

He sets the standard for good "Gun" citizen, I watch as often as I can, a real "A+" guy..
