A buddy told me once you just crack a couple cans of cheap cat food to handle the scent issue.

And do what? Leave them by the call/decoy? Or next to the hunter? (Or smear it all over yourself from head to tow?

Leave it with cat. And use good food, something nice for them, considering the stress they are going to go through when the coyote(s) are approaching.

Cats make excellent bait, as many an urban resident will tell you. Small dogs work as well.

Only a few, usually see them when deer hunting. They aren’t hunted hard here so unique approaches work.
