Higginson Primers

Yea they have limits now at 1000 per type. The first few days they did not have this limit in place, from what I hear.

Shipping to BC on 5K primers and 3 lbs powder will be about $50 or less. This based from previous 10 lbs powder orders that ran about $70.

I ordered a few days ago through email and have not heard anything back yet. Now some of the primers have been taken off the list.

Anyone know how they work? What I mean is am I not getting the primers I have requested because I have not got a shipping quote yet and now they show out of stock?

Do they give priority to phone orders? Are those processed right away instead of waiting for them to get to my email?

Hold tight, its probably OK.

Its very busy there and it takes several days to process their orders. I ordered 2 bricks early this past Wednesday morning, and I received my quote back this morning (Monday) by email. That was about 4 working days. Once you get the quote back you can pay by EMT, or fill out their credit card info attachment that they send you and email it back, or call them. I tried to call several times today and got the answering machine message that they are serving a customer and to please call back later. I paid by EMT. However they need my PAL number and I don't want to send that by email because its not encrypted in email, so I still have to try and get through on the phone.

The shipping on my order was 10% of the primers total price, and I consider that very good and fair for shipping.

Of course the 13% HST is outrageous, but that's another topic. :)

Called them this morning, took a while to get through but they still had large rifle and large rifle magnum primers in stock. I am very glad you started this thread, been looking for primers for so long!

It’s a pretty bad/messed up business model over there. I was told today that they are sold out of the primers I submitted an order for last week. I called on Monday and they confirmed they received my order from the week prior.

Seems like some people called in orders and got it out right away. Others call in orders and are put on the list.

The lady on the phone said it is basically by luck if you get them.

I was encouraged by the fact that there were primers for sale. Very Expensive but available. It means down the road in a year or so the prices will come down some what, like H4350 has. "til then....

Mine are somewhere between Ontario and Purgatory on a UPS truck? ETA June 27th. Not too great with communication on their part but perhaps they are either short staffed or swamped? Maybe both?

I get UPS notices regularly when I buy my stuff (always do).
Never have had any issues with communication. Phoned, ordered, Visa was used, and away they went.
It's been that way since before Andrew took over and Old Tom was running the show!

Got shipping notice today.
We had a couple day delay because a couple blokes who were having their orders ship with mine (4 of us total) had a some credit card hick ups. It’s all sorted now, UPS says June 29 delivery.

Usually they're very best.
I emailed an order last week. Got an email Wednesday that they was sold out of that skew, so replied for another type, still waiting. Then I read here people, by phone placed orders on Monday , are being filled?
Oh well. I still have enough for awhile.
