I've both ordered and picked up stuff from Higginson. Great outfit to deal with, and if you have to get a few buddies together to do a group purchase to get the hazmat discount, do it!

Big parking lot, from what I recall. Big enough to get a transport truck and trailer into. At least it was several years ago...

I have ordered bullets and Lee stuff from them. They were always pleasant to deal with and occasionally the price was less than originally anticipated.

I can just never justify buying powder from them. The shipping/hazmat always makes buying local more economical. Never could get past 20# of powder to get free shipping (you still pay hazmat). One day.....*fingers crossed*

I can't figure out this "Hazmat' charge that some dealers tack on. I just bought 8 pounds of Bullseye from Wholesale Sports and because it was over $99 I got free shipping. The only other cost was HST. There was no Hazmat charge. Does anyone know if this is a legit charge? I can't believe that some dealers aren't charging it if they are supposed to. Over the past year or so my friends and I also bought about 140,000 primers from Canada Ammo and were never hit with a Hazmat charge from them either.

Ya, I don't understand the "hazmat" fee either. I buy from lots of other places that don't charge it.

I have been buying from them since the mid 80's. Still have shot bags from them, and a bunch of reloading gear that I started out with.

I do not know if anything has changed or not, but several years ago, a flat fee of $16.00 as a "Hazmat" was charged on all primer/powder shipments.

Some carriers do not charge this fee now, so policy may have changed. I know that it has not existed on the last few shipments I have received.

If your ordering powder shipping will be expensive, last time i called i was quoted $38 to ship 2 lb of powder. It would be cheaper and quicker for me to drive to them.

If you order 21 lbs or more of powder shipping is free.

I've placed several orders with them and all have been first class dealings. Several of my shooting buddies have been buying from them for years. I will be placing another order with them soon for some new dies

Been buying powder from them since the 80's and never had an issue, still have lots of there own labelled powders good stuff and was much cheaper.

It seems they have not had Varget for the last year or so.I pick it up drabs here and there.

When they get a popular powder it's not in stock long. I got 8lbs of Varget from them just a couple months ago....
