I had a note from Marshall of matrix Bullets today regarding the initial tests of his new 175 and 165 grain 270 bullets... this is awesome!!

Hi Ian, Results from 1000... BC .700 exactly what [name deleted] guess was (amazing) groups where good considering the thrown together chambering/dies etc............, difference between 165 & 175 was 2" at 1000 using same powder charge

If the G1BC is .700 at 1000, imagine what it would be at 600!

He should consider sending some samples of his various match bullets to Bryan Litz. Bryan is currently testing bullets for the second addition of his book. I'm sure he would be delighted to include some additional .270 bullets since that section is a little sparse. Plus, this would be an amazing form of advertising for Matrix.

I've already spoken with Brian and yes he would do it.. but for now,This .700 BC is factual, not if a static number. the drop at 1000 yds was computed threw 2 ballistics programs with velocity, barometric pressure, temp etc. testing was done in West Virginia by a very prominent IBS 1000 yd heavy gun shooter, that being said he and a few other f-class shooters south of the border will be using them in competitions this coming season, and truly with the edge they will gain are really not very willing to "chat" about it.. just tune south next year. Seasons Greetings to all by the way, Marshal

Marshal,

I don't have a fast twist .277 barrel to test your heavies with, but I would be willing to test some of your other bullets at this time. Normally BC testing is a service I charge for, however since the results would be helping to fill the pages of my 2nd edition which I'm currently working on, we could call it even.

So what do you say to some free testing? I'm particularly interested to try your .30 cal 210 VLD with an advertised BC of .7525. Sorry, I won't be able to provide 4 decimals of precision, my tests aren't that accurate.

-Bryan
