High end .22

I want to get my brother a good quality .22 semi auto hunting rifle.

Look at the Ruger 10/22 as well. Reliable as sin and as far as mods go there is no limit (literally). Easy to sell if you decide you want something else. Lots of people own them and not a lot for sale. I saw the P&D accessory display at the Kamloops gun show last spring and it filled 2 tables and was up 3feet as well-all just for the 10/22. Heard of a guy that had over $1500 into his. Seems kinda nuts to me for a 22lr but whatever turns your crank. If you go for one get the trigger done or do it yourself, HUGE improvement. And it has a rotary mag(sweet).

Don't have to go high end to get a quality rifle. A Marlin Model 60 is MORE than accurate enough for hunting. Of course you don't get any fancy wood options, but they do have several camo and stainless versions available.

That's what I see too... 25 rnd "hot lips" and 80 or so bulk packs of winchester "dyna-points". Good to go. Buy a vacuum sealer.
