Not to hi-jack the thread, (and by the way I think SFRC is doing a great thing) but as a newbie to the AR scene, what would be the reality of finding one in .243 or something of that nature? Would a complete upper be possible? If that even makes any sense. Like I said, sorry if I hi-jacked.
I'm looking at buying a particular type of AR upper from a dealer. If he doesn't have/bring in complete lowers available, then I'd want to get a complete lower from whoever I can get it from....
i don't know the price point of them, but if the price is right, some 416 uppers would be nice. We could even pair them up with a US MR556 lower for a semi auto only 416. Just an idea.
KAC lower is the best...I prefer there ambi-controls and the lower just feels right! For I guy like me that has good deal of time behind the gun those features are a must for me.
As mentioned before Noveske barrel are awesome too.
Noveske seems to be pretty awesome. That would be something I would be interested in. The other thing that's lacking in Canada for AR stuff is the standard version of the AR upper receivers in complete form. Questar used to sell alot of them but have gotten away from that and headed in the direction of high end stuff. That plain jane AR is still desired out there, so people can make their own decisions on how they want to modify their rifle.
Who's in for a stripper? a couple of questions come to mind first.....
details are a must before you know what your getting into.............
even broad info would be helpful. I.E. high end brand, common brand, billet, cast, in the 400-700 price range etc...and i know people get jumpy here with holding you to anything you say, but general info would be helpful.
