You are joking right or never got stopped migratory bird hunting. One lead round even near you and you are TOAST other than wood #### in select areas

I am not joking. I quoted the legalese and provided a link for anyone who wants to look more indepth at it... What are you quoting?

Now, I'm sure we can all imagine a world where a CO would take the opinion that having lead shot in your possession means you intend to use it on migratory birds, but a CO's opinion is not the law, even if they can charge you based on that opinion.

I live in the real world in canada not your imaginary world and been checked at least 12 times over the years even my truck which was like 1000 feet from the blind for toxic shot
How about you give it a try , get charged and let us know how you make out
Just when I think I have read it all here I read your post .You don't hunt waterfowl much to get away with it

Wouldn’t try it in a blind or boat setting though; removes culpable deniability, as you are almost certainly only hunting waterfowl.

Possessing it while upland hunting in blaze orange and also carrying non toxic in case you run into a duck? Very different story…

Either way it’s not like the gun can’t be used for pass shooting on occasion and upland most of the time; brybenn is just blowing smoke as usual

Its cute how you bold the part that is relevant to your point, and then completely ignore the next 9 words. If your purpose of possessing it is not hunting waterfowl, its not illegal. Now, good luck convincing the CO that's not your intention, but how COs interpret the law they are supposed to enforce is a whole different discussion.

OP, what about procuring a decent older Cooey 840, or CIL, and make a project out of it?

Most barrels are robust enough for steel, and can be machined and threaded for thin wall chokes?

Just a thought, but someones older beater, might be a decent platform to do a small build. I sold an older CIL to a guy 2 years ago, and he did just that.

I only have a wide view camera on my phone as the other camera is malfunctioning. I will try to get some pics. I dont have any on this phone. To bad you werent coming to the sxs classic. I could bring it and let you shoot it
