High end vs. Low end holosight...any advice?

Something else to consider is the Sig STS 081 red dot sight.

I have two. One is on my Fabarm shotgun and its very accurate and has been holding up to slugs thus far.

Oh neat, that may be my next purchase when it comes to get another red dot. I like those big easy to use knobs!

I just got a NCStar red dot DDAB in the mail from Moreguns supply in Winnipeg a few days ago and tossed it on my ruger 22/45 pistol. The sight itself seemed very solid, good construction, and looked sharp too.

The laser was way off tho. At 10 yards it was still shooting 8 inches low with the elevation cranked. My guess is the initial aiming of the laser was off.

The sight was 70$ and if it wasn't for the initial aiming of the laser I think it might have actually worked out to be a decent sight. At 15 yards it was keeping a very tight group ( 8 inches low tho) after about 150 rounds.

I still haven't decided whether or not I am going to swap for another or just get my money back, maybe I will give it one more shot.
