High Grade AR Barrel options

I've been toiling away on an AR and the only thing I need to finish it are Nickel Boron coated Bolt, and a really good barrel. Right now I'm running a S&J 14.5 1:7 5.56 Barrel which is great, but I want something really high end. There are a ton of options south of the border, but I don't think that's gonna work.

Looking for suggestions. Im not picky it's coated, stainless, pitted, dimpled, whatever. As long as the results show up on paper. Looking for 14.5 or 16. I know Questar used to have a 16" Noveske, but I believe they are out of stock.

I really want a Legion Barrel. The hexagonal cuts give it astounding harmonics, and cuts a lot of weight down. However...cant get them here.

I was looking at Krieger barrels. They seem to be a lot less then ATRS, and I can get an HBAR.

I would consider a Lilja barrel. Check our their website. ATRS usually has them, sure others do too.

If I went with ATRS I could go with the Rifle length gas system, and reduce the recoil even more. Just changing the buffer again would be a #####

Sorry, I have to ask. How did you measure the HArmonics of your barrel while you were shooting.
Can you list which equipment you used and provide the data recorded. At what Hz is this barrel recorded at? what is a Daniel defense barrel Hz?
Which barrels did you test? and what length? Which Gas system?
Please provide the ammo specs as well. Did you test multiple brands?

How did this effect accuracy? or consistency? Did you shoot better or faster? Please provide all recorded data to prove this claim.

Don't know friend, you'd have to ask the people who have reviewed it on US sites, and the manufacteurer.

If I had all that data and specs from shooting through one of them, I wouldn't be on this thread asking where I could find one.


Not sure what your trying to do with your post, but you seem like someone who wants to flex their knowledge. I shoot firearms, not much of a smith or amorer though. Any recommendations I should be looking for? I am only considering looking for a heavy barrel, or fluted barrel, at a certain length. Likely 1:7. Is there anything I should be looking for that wouldnt be obvious to me?
