I've been thinking ahead of time about what to get, especially thinking about what I can do to the gun after I get it. I have a habit of taking things apart to see how they work.
Any ways, has any one ever seen any double stack magazines for .22 rimfire, I'd think that the rim would cause complications for such a system? Let's say I wanted to build a high capacity magazine,... I mean reallly high capacity, spanning the length of the rifle and holding well over a hundred rounds. Which one of the cheap semi auto rimfires do you guys think would be able to handle the weight of such a thing from the magazine locking system? Most people would suggest the 10/22 but I'm not so sure that the rotary type magazine system it uses would be compatible with a long linearly stacked magazine. I'm thinking something like a p90 mag where the rounds make twist before entering the chamber.
I've also looked at the remington 597 and it doesn't seem very secure either.
