High performance 7.62x39

Wouldn't a high performance 7.62x39 be kinda' like a low performance .308?
:p

This reminds me.of a old thread, where a guy bought a NEW 243, and then wanted advice on 243ai to duplicate 6mm Rem.

Why he didn't just buy more rifle, or reach for the next more powerful caliber in the safe?

Here we have someone who loads, and owns two chronograph. Unlikely this is his only caliber choice. Yet he will not give load.data. So left with two conclusions, unsafe reloading practices, and trolling questioners.

The beauty of the No.1 rifle. Enhanced performance well over standard ballistics is possible with some chamberings. Just like with my 45-70 and 9.3x74R No.1 rifles. Without compromising safety or reliability.

Maximum muzzle speeds for a 22" barrel: 125gr/2500 fps and 150gr/2150 fps. A bit higher than what my bolt action 7.62x39 Remington 799 does which has a 20" barrel.

Looks like CFE BLK could work well for a 125gr bullet according to this data.

Yeah, the No1 is a legend for sure. In fact it's almost as strong as most 100 year old mauser bolt guns.
