Just got my MINT High-Standard police shotgun I bought some months ago and didn't have time to go fetch. Mr. Postman dropped it in my little hot hands this morning :D
Can I say it is the nicest 2 3/4" chamber buckshot and slug thrower I have seen for a long time?
All machined steel and hardwood, 100% blue; some edges still have that "sharp" unworn feeling, like just out of the factory!
Now, I don't know if this one has some collector value but maybe it could be a good candidate for a set of ghostring sights and matching protected front sight.
Muzzle diameter is 0.862".
Do you know of a good plain set for these?

Please don't "pimp" out that classic beauty with the current tactical fads! These older riot guns have an understated elegance in their simplicity. The fact that yours is in pristine condition only enforces the notion that it should remain in stock condition.

A beauty!

One of the excellent features of the High Standards is the way the shell carrier tucks up out of the way... makes it super easy to load or "top up" the mag.

Check out Williams sights - great on shotguns!

Well, since I'm kind of a collector sometimes, I think I'll refrain from doing anything to that little gem.
You're right; if it was a well used packhorse gun, I would be tempted to "pimp it up" just a bit but this one is too nice.
And besides, it'll be my "home security" gun... no need for a ghostring sight in very close quarters.
Instead, I'll keep that money to put tritium ghostring sights on my "camping gun", a folding stock S&W 3000 I just bought. Lean, mean and handy! :)
