Has anyone ever loaded the THV bullets? These were hollow bullets of very light weight and pushed very fast with faster burning powders for the handguns.
I am wondering if the same basic principle can be applied to hollow base bullets such as Berry, where the 185gr in .451" for 45 ACP (and possibly 45 GAP) has the same profile as the 230grainers. This makes seating the bullet to the same COL possible, but then effectively gives you a larger powder space in the case.
More powder capacity should be able to cive higher velocity without +P pressure.
