hey u guys heard of Highland ammo?? orrr NNY stamped head brass?

it looks to be annealed as from below the shoulder up to the top is a different colour on every case, uniform.?


its .308 win stuff at the moment although I wanna throw then through a 7mm08 Full Length Die..... should I be right or whatdo you think?

I have a feeelin anaeling them hardens the brass..?

Whelanlad Annealing softens brass. Any NNY headstamped brass I have used is very good brass. They will be fine as 308 brass or necked down to 7mm/08
 
Prvi Partisan. Yugoslavian/Serbian. All cases are annealed like that, many manufacturers polish afterwards. New or fired? Shouldn't be a problem reforming them.
 
What looks like "nny" on Prvi Partizan brass are actually Cyrillic letters that transliterate to "PPU". Some brass use the Cyrillic letters, others the Roman letters.

each time i run the 308 cases through the 7mmo8 die , I'm getting Dinted shoulder each time, every time.

What am I doin wrong?

When you lube your cases, avoid getting any lube at all on the shoulder area of the case.
I dry lube the neck, then put Imperial sizing wax on the body only....never get a dented shoulder.

I think I am getting there, maybe the case needs firing to compelte the size.

an yes I think I ver done the shoulder lube.
