Well I use my Springfield M6 more than any of my other rimfires, because it's te one that makes the trip due to its size and ease of assembly. It is not, however, a tack driver. Certainly accurate enough for most of the time, but I'd love to have a take down .22 bolt action with a set of very good target sights on it, custom is most definitely an option, the sights will almost certainly have to be anyhow, so suggestions on where to start are welcomed.

Ideas?

Check out the Marlin model 70PSS Papoose takedown , barrel comes off like an AR-7 but you can put on a scope just like any other grooved top .22. Worth looking at and asking about.

Sako quad would certainly be a good choice for this application; although a bit pricey. Definately a plus that you can swap out barrels to any rimfire preatty easily.
