what you guys use for hunting and backpacking boots .im breaking in my new scarpas i bought the sl m3 model . taking a while to get them to wear in .i sure miss my kennetreks .wore those out .
 
Absolutely love my Danner Hood Winter Lights. They stopped making them for a while but then brought them back. Just about the perfect hunting boot for me, though in the spring I will usually go with something a little lighter.
 
My Altberg motorcycle boots are the best footwear I've ever worn. I don't use them for hunting or hiking only because with the increased wear they might not last the rest of my life for motorcycling. If you can afford Altbergs, get some.
 
I use to use lowa boots for all my mountain hunting, a great boot. The past couple years, Iv been using hanwag Alaskans, my feet love'm. Theyr my every day town boot, plus my goat huntin boot.
 
I use Cabelas branded Meindls as they have a lifetime warranty and I've had zero issues with them. Also, have a pair of Hanwags and they are ok, not as comfortable as the Meindls though,

The Cabelas in Ottawa has many of the Cabela's Meindle Hunters on Clearance right now.
 
i strongly recommend the under armour speed fit hiking boots they fit great and last great best boot I've ever bought and i hike at least 30km every week or two
 
I have been giving Salomon Quests a fair shake for past couple seasons. Excellent hiking/hunting GoreTex boots for support and traction and waterproof-ness up until the point that they get soaked. Then they are wet literally for days and now its wrinkles on the blisters on your wrinkles. Avoid at all costs.
