Anyone shoot this stuff in a Garand?

I did, a few years ago and it worked just fine and the rifle, which was a 2moa shooter with most ammo, shot it slightly better.

The older berdan primed stuff was more accurate in my match M1a than the 79 or 80's ammo. And the same in my other 308 bolts as well.

That said, it is decent ammo in all forms. I've reloaded the boxer brass with excellent success and results.

Water capacity I found its interior capacity to be close to a bunch of brass I had from a lot of winchester 168 grain match bulk purchase I had years ago and had similar results on paper.

Same here. I bought a skid of Hirt 74 berdan prime, i bough from 2 other 80th lot boxer primer. The 74 is the one of choice for me. In my SA M1A NM and my FNAR Competition, that 74 is golden, i wish i bought 2 skids

I saw some not that long ago, maybe late last year around this time on GP I think for $175 for 100 rounds. Seems to have sold quick too, so I guess the going price is around $200 for a hundred now.

I haven't seen Hertenburger offered by dealers for a few years, so I'm guessing your best bet is a private sale off the EE.

We shot Hirtenberger 7.62x51 out of two rifles ' a Tikka Master Sporter and Lakelander, out to 1K with good results .
