History on old Parker Hale ???

I am not looking to sell nor do I need a value, I am just curious on the history of this Parker Hale.
.303 that took many moose years ago....
I apologize if info on these "sporterized" rifles is somewhere in the forums, I haven't searched.

Information would be appreciated.......

That's a Lee Enfield MkIII from London Small Arms Co Ltd (LSA Co Ld) in 1917. Can't really tell you much more, the barrel stampings are from importation or proofing.
 
Parker Hale made a lot of these using surplus war stocks (so did a lot of people). Although your rifle dates from WW1, these sporters were sold by PH well into the seventies.
 
If you can give us a clearer image of the civilian proof marks we can date that part of it for you. As you may know, ALL ex-military arms going for civilian sale had to be proofed prior to sale, hence the rash of stamps and test data marks.
